A: The first step is to select the location where you want the exam done.  See our page "test locations and fees" for a current list of locations.  Once you select the location that is best for you, you'll need to register with us by filling out the registration form or calling us directly.  We will also need a deposit before our examiner will schedule the appointment.  Once the registration and deposit are received, the examiner will contact you to schedule your appointment for a mutually convenient date and time.  The balance of the test fee is paid directly to the examiner.
