A: Most competent examiners can handle routine sex crimes, but there is a new certification for examiners called "Certified Post -Conviction Sex Offender Examiner" which requires 40 hours of additional specialized training. If your exam involves an allegation of a sex crime it may be wise to seek out an examiner with this additional certification.
