Refund
and Cancellation Policy
OUR GUARANTEE
It is our guarantee to provide you with a polygraph examiner who is
trained, experienced, licensed (if required) and willing to provide the
customer with a quality polygraph exam within 30 days of our receiving
your registration and deposit. We agree that the exam will be conducted
in the geographic area selected by the customer during the registration
process.
REFUND POLICY
In order to complete the process of hiring a Global Polygraph Network
examiner, we must first receive a deposit/referral fee. The amount of
this deposit varies by location but is always paid in United States dollars.
This fee will be deducted from the total exam fee. The balance of the
exam fee (which can be found on our "Test Locations and Fees" page)
is then payable directly to the examiner.
Global Polygraph Network is a referral service. Even though we guarantee
that our customer will be offered an exam date within 30 days, the deposit
is for the referral - not for the exam. As such, the deposit is considered
a PURCHASE of information stored in our database (ie. the name and phone
number of a pre-screened examiner). This information has been developed
by our company over many years and is updated every day. Since information
of this kind can not be "returned" once received, the deposit
is NON-REFUNDABLE. If you change your mind about the exam, are unwilling
to have the exam done during the examiner’s business hours, postpone
or cancel the exam for any reason, or the person who was supposed to take
the test declines to take the test or fails to show up, the deposit will
be forfeited.
It is the customer’s responsibility to insure that it is legal
to request the exam in the jurisdiction where the exam is to be conducted.
Global Polygraph Network will not provide illegal polygraph exams. A deposit
submitted for an illegal polygraph exam will not be refunded.
Since we guarantee that an exam date will be offered to our customer
within 30 days, it is also our policy that if our examiner is unable or
unwilling to provide your exam within 30 days, we will refund the deposit.
After an appointment is scheduled, however, most examiners will be flexible
about changing appointment dates or times as long as reasonable notice
is given to the examiner.
Prior to the exam, some examiners may request an additional deposit
(up to but not exceeding the entire exam fee). If the exam is to be given
at the customer's location, it is the customer's responsibility to provide
a suitable exam room for the test. Note that some examiners will
not provide testing in private homes.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Once an appointment for a requested polygraph exam has been scheduled,
the appointment may be canceled by contacting your local GPN examiner
at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. If less than 24
hours notification is given to the examiner (including no-shows), the
customer will be responsible for paying the balance of the exam fee to
the examiner. This is a firm and enforced policy since the examiner can
not typically fill an open appointment with less than 24 hours notice,
so any short-notice cancellation usually results in lost income for our
examiner. Some of our examiners may have additional requirements regarding
the cancellations of appointments. Please discuss any additional requirements
directly with your designated examiner.
We recommend that you do not submit your deposit until you are reasonably
certain that you intend to follow through with the testing process. Please
feel free to contact me at info@polytest.org if
you have any questions or concerns about our refund or cancellation policies.
